So, basically Bill Gates sends you to the future to make a hipster slip on a banana peel, since nobody else would be able to do this with hip clothes and a banana peel, and this would somehow make it harder for Apple to sell their products because they are mainly bought by hipsters.

It is a really strange way to go to put out a concurrent. It is bizarre, but it makes the game interesting. The Hipstercalypse is not much of an apocalypse, but it attracts plays I guess.

I like that it was not too long and hard. I could not find use of all inventory items, but maybe they are red herrings.

If I would time travel I wish to go back in time instead.

That’s a nice interpretation of the game and I am glad you had fun with it 😊

Better than the original but lack the variety in patterns and the ability to start on a later stage as in super hexagon, but it is a game you have to pay for so I guess I cannot compare with it.

Nice coded as I did not find any bugs. I noticed that you made the edges so that they stop you but not so you lose, which was very kind of you. It makes it possible to get through the spiral in the wrong direction. The medal for surviving 300 seconds is actually just 240.

Zanzlanz responds:

Thanks for your thoughtful review JME!

Yes this definitely wasn't intended to be a replacement for Super Hexagon of course, I just was having fun making my own version before Super Hexagon released for desktop. I hope those who enjoy this eventually do feel inspired to buy Terry's full game :)

And great catch on the medal! I guess I tweaked the requirement when I ported the game to HTML5, and forgot to update the medal description. Fixed!

A pretty well rounded dropper game. Myself I thought that it was a little too much of a grind. I got all medals before maxing the upgrades for my character. Those enemies that stand still just below the gaps are downers since you cannot dodge them, but I suppose the game should be luck based. I like the variety of quests. Not too hard or easy. I just did not understand what I was supposed to do when it told me to reach a number of floors without power. I did them eventually. Also the highscore seems broken as I got a score of 222 but it did not submit. The artwort is great and I went through the game without finding any bugs, so nice done!

Edit: I was playing on my mobile :)

blit-blat responds:

Thanks, glad you liked it! I'll have a look at the scores, but I have a feeling it might have been due to a slight glitch in the Newgrounds API and/or your internet connection. Where you playing on mobile or desktop?

The game is a black screen with no way to tell when it ends, but I appreciate the numbers that change in the corners. I've heard it is hard to make timers in flash games.

BobbyBurt responds:

This is a Unity game actually, which is partially the reason for this black screen problem. See the last section of the description for how to get it working for you.

what a cool little game i dont care if the medals dont work the idea was good i just wish i was better at two things: multitasking and pong!

BrandyBuizel responds:

They're something new we've just started implementing now, should be live in a week or so!

Cyberdevil responds:
