The poor creatures are just standing there. They could flee or fight back, but it seems to never cross their minds. They are just standing there as meat shields for the next prey. Waiting for me to chop them to death.

There is a glitch in the game using the skill snap freeze. It permanently freezes the enemy position so that no enemy after that will make an attack. Not even after beating the game and continuing at a saved area.

A really good game IMO with lots of quality content in. I like the music, the artwork and the depth in the attack patterns for some enemies, especially for the bosses. They are really advanced, different and fun.

It is pretty inspiring. The game is a really nice try but there are some major bugs which I guess have given this game a low score. Most notably the cut-off enemy spawn for some levels. Sometimes when you start a level you only encounter enemies to the very left so most of them spawn off screen I guess.

I guess this game has been hard to code and given that most of the games here on Newgrounds are made by hobbyist game developers who are not very experienced I think it is a really nice try. Some tips tho: The game could use a tracking of how far you have got in each stage. The later stages can get tedious and you can get to a point when you question if it ever ends. The two types of shots were a nice feature I have not seen implemented in this way earlier. The waves that clear bullets were a little OP tho, but the projectiles that can not be cleared were a clever implemention. It forces you to use forks to hit the enemies.

The genre is wrong by the way. Horizontal Flight is when it scrolls to the side. This is vertically.

Better than the original but lack the variety in patterns and the ability to start on a later stage as in super hexagon, but it is a game you have to pay for so I guess I cannot compare with it.

Nice coded as I did not find any bugs. I noticed that you made the edges so that they stop you but not so you lose, which was very kind of you. It makes it possible to get through the spiral in the wrong direction. The medal for surviving 300 seconds is actually just 240.

Thanks for your thoughtful review JME!

Yes this definitely wasn't intended to be a replacement for Super Hexagon of course, I just was having fun making my own version before Super Hexagon released for desktop. I hope those who enjoy this eventually do feel inspired to buy Terry's full game :)

And great catch on the medal! I guess I tweaked the requirement when I ported the game to HTML5, and forgot to update the medal description. Fixed!

The game has no hint whatsoever about the commands only work if you write them all with caps lock off.

ONLY USE SMALL LETTERS WHEN WRITING COMMANDS!

Oh and I don't like when the kid dies.

I really enjoyed this game. I thought it was kinda neat bouncing around between nodes so I had to fav it.

I like that you went a step futher from designing the levels in the obvious "step-by-step" way that most games of this type have. Instead of just clicking on the next node and swinging where it is obvious to do so we have to tap nodes forth and back to get a wide variety of monuments. It encourages people to play in a creative way. You could have gone even futher and made some levels with new monuments(with the same items and physics) that are harder, but some players might find that frustrating.

Nice and simple graphics. It fits this game. I did not find any bugs.

A pretty well rounded dropper game. Myself I thought that it was a little too much of a grind. I got all medals before maxing the upgrades for my character. Those enemies that stand still just below the gaps are downers since you cannot dodge them, but I suppose the game should be luck based. I like the variety of quests. Not too hard or easy. I just did not understand what I was supposed to do when it told me to reach a number of floors without power. I did them eventually. Also the highscore seems broken as I got a score of 222 but it did not submit. The artwort is great and I went through the game without finding any bugs, so nice done!

Edit: I was playing on my mobile :)

Thanks, glad you liked it! I'll have a look at the scores, but I have a feeling it might have been due to a slight glitch in the Newgrounds API and/or your internet connection. Where you playing on mobile or desktop?

Good idea to make an item find game with the medals to make people watch the drawings.
It is nice to see which sketches made it into your games. I like the fact that the last drawings are coloured drawings of mushrooms.

The game crashed upon completing the last level.

Wow his first game on the site.

It is never wrong to not do something.
